Description
Young unmarried women in the United States ages 18 to 29 report that more than 7 in 10 of their pregnancies are unplanned—one of the highest levels in the entire developed world. Although high levels are found across all groups of women, rates are highest among minority women, lower income women, and women with limited education. The significant consequences of unplanned pregnancy include fewer opportunities to complete education or achieve other life goals; more health risks for mother and child; lower likelihood of stable families; and higher likelihood of poverty. Featuring funny and endearing scenarios about "awkward" birth control conversations, the campaign reminds women that moments like these shouldn't stop them from getting important information about birth control. The PSAs educate young women that Bedsider "takes the awkward" out, by allowing them to explore their birth control options online. The PSAs direct to (Website hidden).
