The Children's mural on the west side of the Hambo Court portrays a sure realist version of the park giant fishable standing in for water towers, an octopus in the playground. Another scene shows a group of artists painting the mural itself. Patty von Neeson, a member of the West Gate Neighbors Association, initiated the project. The mural was designed by local artist Aaron Grover and was painted by the West Gate Muralists, a collaboration of neighborhood artists. This mural depicts Children playing in the West Gate Park and was painted to commemorate Columbus Is Bicentennial in 2012. Now walk around to the other side of the handball courts to see another fantastic work of art.
