As a kid I had a green school desk in my room and taped a crudely drawn sign that said \"ABC News\" in front of me and would read aloud newspaper stories imagining myself delivering the day's headlines - while other kids dreamed of going to the moon (what a geek).
I'm not what you would call a \"news junkie\" but I do enjoy delving into the genre from time to time, whether straight news, blogs or my favorite - editorials.
