But for many service members, veterans and military families across this country, the toughest mission can be asking for help with invisible wounds. Today, 90% of all veterans and active duty service members believe mental health is as important as physical health. But this was not always the case. In response to the 2007 Mental Health Task Force report, the former Defense Centers of Excellence for Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury developed and implemented a public awareness campaign to combat the stigma associated with seeking psychological health care.
