This is a drip flow biofilm reactor from bio surface technologies. Reactors are available with four or six channels and are offered in multiple materials. Multiple slide materials are also available. This video will demonstrate use of a four channel pet polymer reactor. The reactor components are identified in the operator's manual that accompanies the reactor. In brief, the main features of the reactor are the influence and effluent ports, bacterial air vents and 10 degree angle stand for the batch phase. The reactor is incubated flat for six hours. During the continuous flow phase, the reactor is placed at a 10 degree angle and media is pumped into the influence port. The media flows down over the slide coupon and out the effluent port.
