I've suffered being stuck with listening to other chairman give talks, and I've been shocked and angered by the patronising attitude of those agency. Big Week. They're recurring complaints is that people are stupid. Trust me. If you think people are dumb, you spend a lifetime doing dumb work. I think people absolutely brilliant. They have a microchip in their heads that places a television commercial in its marketing context, with lightning speed enabling them to judge a stupidly, they get big ideas. Moreover, they always respond to an idea. A strong central concept or image, especially if it is represented in a warm, human way. If you don't believe what I just said, you'll never do great work.
