good from room 5 10 at the Columbia College Chicago Theater Building. I'm Francesca Mullins of C C C W x R J L M N O P News and I welcome you to the final round of the fifth annual I'm Better than you Debate Going head to head to head tonight, we have communications director Christopher McFarren, Solutions executive Judith Thompson and Director of Information Technologies Gerald Fitzherbert. This debate is sponsored by Steam Maxie's Canine Emporium. Since this is the final round, we lifted up to our sponsor to select the only question that will be asked tonight. What is more important, you, the talk or the audience? Each participant has been given a point to argue for, and in the end, you, our listeners, will be able to vote for the stance that stood out to you the most. I see that Christopher will be speaking on behalf of the importance of the speaker. Judith, on the speech itself Injured, will be arguing for the audience. Let's begin by welcoming our contenders to the stage. Boys, we're going down. Oh, yeah, you're going down. Um, according to Peggy Lou grammar laws, I believe you shut Gerald Yeah. Should've brought nothing like good old friendly competition. Am I right, Contenders? Are you ready? You thin? Let the debating commence, Christopher. Since you seem to be a crowd favorite, we'll start with you. Why is the speaker more important? Thank you so much, Francesca. And might I say you look amazing tonight. Um thank you, Christopher. But I must remind you I have nothing to do with the voting process. I'm only here for the extra money. Yes. OK. Anyway, um was question. Yeah. Okay. That's right. Why is the speaker more important? Well, that's easy, bro. You wouldn't be here if it weren't for the speaker. I'm gonna explain this in the three points. You ready one without the speaker? The speech would just be a group of words on index cards or already existing power points just roaming around the interwebs two. Even if this speech were able to present itself, there wouldn't be any, like, variety within the voice or like dynamic changes. You know, I'm saying it almost be like listening to Sofia, the Ruba trying to teach us all how to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. No, I'm saying in three in order for a speech to be considered a success full. This speech should be given by somebody that knows what they're talking about. No one's gonna want to listen to a target. Employees give a lecture on a Libra. Skah pick myomectomy. It just doesn't make sense. Right, Ray? A profound statement. Christopher. Thank you so much, Judith. It is now your turn. Would you like to take this time to rebuttal or state and staying? Testing? Yes. Hello. I'd like to do the two for one option, Your Honor. Thank you. I'm sorry. What? I'm not a judge, nor did I even mention a to For once. I'm aware, Francis, Miss Francie, but I'm going to morph my rebuttal and my argument into one, thus creating a wait for it. Two for one option. See what I did there. Everybody. Very well. I don't get paid enough for the the talk, the speech, the text, the words, the alphabet. Think about it. All 26 letters. Air coming together in harmony to create works of art. The speech is the road map of your topic. It has the beginning, the middle and the end. The speaker presenting said speech could get nervous. Stuck or dare I say it lost. But that speech will guide them to their destination. The conclusion. The speech contains words that must be presented to the ears of those who came from afar. Just toe Listen, the words that were put together simply make the speech what it is. It doesn't matter who speaking wrong. Christopher, you had your chance to speak. That's not fair. Donald Trump is to do all the time. As I was saying, it doesn't matter whether it is Morgan Freeman, er, Kristen Stewart giving the speech. It will be the same words and the same message. Owens. Thank you. All right, All right. Lastly, And thankfully, we have Gerald to give his argument on why the audience is the most important. Take it away, Gerald. Oh, okay. Well, I believe that the audience is the more vital component to the equation that makes up the entire presentation experience. After an extensive amount of research, I found that well, the only reason this speech was created in the sole purpose of incredible individual being asked to give a lecture and the first place is simply due to the fact that an audience is in need of it. Also isn't speech really a speech without an audience? What's the point of there's no one there to listen? You'd honestly just be talking to yours. Open a large room of chairs, which is ridiculous and further. All right, Jerrold. I think we get it. I o Christopher McFarren, Judith Thompson and Gerald fits in heimer. It's Fitz Herbert. I don't care. Thank you all for participating in this year's I'm Better than you debate. As for the audience, in order to cast your vote, you must text either you the talk or the audience to 678 Triple 98212 and tune in tomorrow morning to see the results again. That's text either you the talk or the audience to 678 Triple 9821 to everyone. Have a great night. My name is Francesca Mullins. From C C C W X R J Element Opie News. Signing off
