Welcome to Oracle nine i Database administration. Create a database. This course is part of a series in the Oracle Enterprise Devi, A curriculum in the creating a database procedure unit. You will learn how to plan and create a database in the data dictionary and standard packages unit. You will learn to create the data dictionary and retrieve specific information by querying the data dictionary view categories. You will also learn about the benefits of using stored procedures and packages. The Maintaining Redo Logs and Control Files unit covers the details for planning the creation of redo log files. This lesson also describes how to maintain reading law groups, redo long members and control files in this unit. The process of forcing logs, switches and checkpoints is also covered in the managing table spaces and data files unit. You will learn how to manage table spaces and data files. The Oracle Enterprise Manager OH am has a new feature that changes the color of text as it is typed in this course, the text does not change colors, you type. The text remains black. However, when you press the enter key or continue to the next page, the text you type is displayed in the Oracle Enterprise Managers Default colors in the OM council application, the main menu and context sensitive men. You can include commands that display an arrow when you move the mouse over these menu commands. Ah sub menu is displayed. However, in this course, the sub menu is not displayed. At the end of each unit is a post assessment that assesses your knowledge of the skills and concepts presented in each unit. Ah, screen at the end of each post assessment indicates any topics you may want to review.
