On November 9th, 1989 the Berlin Wall fell, signaling the beginning of the end of the Cold War. Russia has always been a dangerous place, but for foreigners it's even more so. And for an American spy, it's the razor's edge, the most dangerous place on earth and the one place most desirable for any spy. If captured, it's almost certain death. And so it is. With Mike Ramsdale posing as a Soviet intelligence officer working with the Americans, Mike infiltrates this spy school in Ober, um Ergo, Germany. His uniform betrays everything that students stand for in a young cadet, Yuri Navalny lashes out, cracking Mike across the jaw, the beginnings of a close friendship with his disguise replaced by an American uniform. Mike reveals his true identity to the students. At that time, the United States had negotiated the building of a new embassy in Moscow that would be constructed by Vladimir Volk, using Russian laborers who just happened to also be working for the KGB. The embassy was completed but was filled with thousands of listening devices. Ah, foreign relations disaster on the part of the U. S. Ambassador William Renker, reporters from all the major networks picked up the rankers store in the embarrassment grows as the broadcast spread around the world. Evidence of the bugs and other listening devices have brought out and put on display for all to see. Meanwhile, on the slopes of Germany, Mike and Bonnie take to the slopes, and although Bonnie skills aren't necessarily found on the mountain trails, the two are quickly becoming much more than just friends. Renker has had enough. This embassy story needs to go away, and he knows just the people who can make that happen. But with the C I A. Now wanting justice for the botched Russian Embassy, they're likely to discover much more about a renker at the spy school. Mike draws the shorts. Drone is tasked with security duty while doing his rounds. Mike spots something amiss, a light at the end of a long hallway. He radios the situation in and slowly investigates. He shouts out, Who's there? A clamor of closing filing cabinets. Then nothing. Mike discovers a man lying in a pool of his own blood. He's cut his own wrists rather than live through the shame of discovery. It's Yuri Mike and hardly believe his eyes. He radios for help, desperately bandaging his friend's wrist until help arrives in Russia's Into the hospital. Mike has chosen a leader team into Moscow and kidnapped Vladimir Volk, the man responsible for building the American Embassy. In embezzling over $100 million of American taxpayer dollars, they arrive in Russia and set up residents in multiple locations, always vigilant to keep the team hidden and unexposed quickly, they develop assets informants who are paid to provide intelligence about Volk, one of the informants flips on Mike and identifies him. Div Oak, the Russian Mafia and KGB quickly descend on Mike and his team, since the remainder of his team have never been seen, are identified. They are quickly flown out of Russia, leaving Mike to return and clean the house of all evidence while burning documents and photographs might catches several men making their way to his building with no exits other than the stairs. He knows he's in for a fight. The door to his apartment opens, and he lowers his shoulder, tackling the large Russian in the hallway. Somewhere in the panic, Mike has struck in the head by a pair of brass knuckles puncturing his skull. He stumbles past the man and down the stairs were another mobster raises a pistol and fires. Bullets zip past his head, but his feet keep moving. There's no way out but passed The man. Mike races right, Adam knocking him over and keeps on going.
