El AMARNA, Middle Egypt Two centuries ago, French explorers made an amazing discovery here in the desert, buried under the sand where the remains of an ancient city, it had been the capital of ancient Egypt more than 3300 years ago, the Titanic and her sister ship Olympic were built in 1911. They were considered the largest and safest ships afloat. And yet the Titanic sank on our maiden voyage from Southampton to New York on April 15th 1912. Over 2200 passengers and crew only 705 survived. Uh.
