inspired by the life in the fields, we created a permanent way to protect farmworkers. Partnering with local authorities, we installed the lifesaving sculptures in affected villages and educated farmers about how it can save lives. Lightning rods attract electricity, reducing the probability of it striking a person. The electrical current passes through the rod and into the earth in plate, where it gets harmlessly discharged into the ground by channeling lightning into the ground. The sculpture creates a safe zone for the farmers. These iconic sculptures became a symbol of rural pride.
