They cannot rely solely on their eyesight for locating prey and mates and avoiding predators. Many of these organisms are blind and rely on their other senses, such as changes in local pressure and smell to catch their food and avoid being caught. Those that aren't blind have large and sensitive eyes that can use bio luminescent lights. The's eyes can be as much as 100 times more sensitive to light than human eyes. On November the 9th 1938 following the shooting of a German diplomat in Paris by Young Ju, the Nazi party organised so called spontaneous uprisings throughout Germany and Austria. The broken glass that lay glittering in the gutters from so many windows of Jewish homes, businesses and synagogues gave that night it's name forever Kristallnacht
