The pain exploded like a blinding, frenzied convulsion inside his brain, his eyes instantly narrowed in reaction and his features contorted in a disfigured winds, he saw the venerable arching wall fall away from him, the age dark and sealing, appearing for a second in his line of vision and then vanishing from sight as he fell.
