106.9. The light. Good afternoon. This is real life with Leslie Niece. I have four kids. One is in college at North Greenville University, and it's her freshman year. She's almost finished. I'm so proud of her. I also have a high school son and then two girls in elementary school. My fourth grade daughter, Kennedy yesterday was just in a mood. You know, I don't quite know any at this point with her, why she gets this way. But she gets a little cranky sometimes. And, you know, we've had a lot of transition going on, some trying to be patient. But yesterday me and she was just angry about everything and yelling and and I just couldn't figure out what to do with her. And so I finally decided, you know, let's just get outside and do something. So we went out and we went kind of like around this lake on a bike ride, and she complained the whole time. I don't want to go on the bike. I don't want to do this. Don't do that. Well, she finally gets on the bike. I said, you have to do this. We're gonna do this, whether you like it or not. You know, I just kind of put my foot down so she gets on her bike and she starts to go around the lake and she goes around and she goes in front of me and she didn't want you to talk to me at all. But when we were finished, she said, Can I go around one more time? And I said, Yeah, that's fine. So I stayed with Peyton, my other daughter at the park, and she went driving. You rode around the the lake like, Yes, she's, you know, finally loosening up a little bit. Well, she came back and she said, Mommy, I had a God moment and I said, Well, what do you mean? And she said, Mommy, we were going around that lake and I she said, I saw this daddy with two of his girls, and one of them was acting just like I was acting. And she said she was really cranky and she's being mean. And I thought, God, that's you. You're telling me that I'm like that too, aren't you? And I said, Well, honey, what you gonna do about it? And she goes. You know, Mommy, I'm really sorry. Can I help you make dinner? And I was like, Oh, wow. Thank you, Lord. And she's been an angel ever since. But, you know, sometimes it takes those God moments to get us back on track.
