the New England Patriots or one of the biggest sports teams in the world. But the NFL clubs still went out of its way recently to acknowledge the death of a fan from Clarin Ville. Jeff Bartlett reports Victoria Best was a music teacher, volunteer and mental health advocate who took her own life last December. She was also a lifelong fan of the New England Patriots. When RCMP officer Bryan Von learned to this, he reached out to the NFL team to try to get them to acknowledge her death. Then one day he got a package in the mail. I couldn't believe that he sent because it was just one conversation before my address I gave it. That was Inside was a condolence letter for Victoria's family and some team memorabilia. Von then met with Victoria's father and gave them the package he mentioned when he saw the memorabilia in the carrot that when the first thing he's gonna do is gonna frame it, put up in the rec room that he ever created Victoria's honor and painted upon the wall. The letter and items were only a small gesture, but Vonn said it means a lot to Victoria's family, given her love of the NFL team, the technology that kind of shows families that they I understand that they respect that and that they do mourn our loss like anybody else. Now the best family can look at the Patriot items on display and remember Victoria for what made her happy, not for the demons which led to her passing. Jeff Bartlett, CBC News, ST Johns.
