She saw challenges. She pushed herself to excel in whatever activity commanded her interest. However, off beat and on beat. When life was less than fair, she got up and went back for more. Besides being physically active, Hannah was intellectually curious. The printed word was her pathway to knowledge, more questions and even more knowledge and more exploration. She was a college level reader in the fourth grade, really reading naturally led to writing, and Hannah gave expression to what she learned, understood, felt and wondered about. It wasn't enough for her to be active and curious. She was accomplished. Her academic team was district champs in a four H speech competition. Hannah was state runner up individually, being adventurous, curious and accomplished naturally made Hannah leader over and over again. In her chosen activities and band. She was a section leader. She was the percussion captain. She was a soccer captain and she was a soccer referee. As a child, she achieved all distinguished recognition in the Cape Rep in the fifth grade from Duke University.
