London, the largest city in Europe, home to 8.5 million people, a figure rising by some 100,000 each year. But another aspect of the city rising rapidly, is its skyline. In the last 20 years, the capital skylight has gradually evolved, but the next two decades are set to see it change exponentially. Incredibly, more than 436 buildings over 20 storeys tall are currently in the pipeline across London. It's a tally updated almost daily, with 89 currently under construction, 233 approved for planning on 114 at various other planning stages. The average height of London's new tall buildings is some 30 storeys, with 38 climbing above 40 floors, 17 rising above 58 towering 60 storeys, arm or above street level.
