Black was fast becoming Hollywood's most bankable comedy star. But it wasn't just his on screen exploits that were garnering praise. His band, Tenacious D, was selling out arenas across America. Star Trek has become such a staple in popular culture. It can be hard to appreciate how groundbreaking it really waas. But think about it. This was a show about a multicultural flight crew, including an American, a Russian and an African American woman. During the height of the civil rights movement at home and the Cold War abroad. It was revolutionary. Northern California is one of the most beautiful places in the world, period. It's the only region on earth with redwood and sequoia trees. That's due to its unique combination of altitude, soil and coastal weather patterns. Then you have Yosemite, considered by many the crown jewels of the national park system. The universe is expanding, but why? According to astrophysicists, it's due to a phenomenon known as dark energy. This'll hypothetical form of energy is like the opposite of gravity, exerting a negative repulsive pressure on the universe. It's been used to explain why many celestial objects seem to be moving away from us in deep space.
