It is January 2003 and I am documenting the Father Grimes Fail REHL Party Held in Ginger, the town celebrated for its claims to the source of the Nile and home of the Boo Soga kingdom. I'm a Fulbright scholar, teaching and conducting dance research at Macquarie University in Kampala. Father Grimes is the former headmaster of Nomis Igali College, a school famous for its modern dance curriculum and musical theater productions. He is leaving Uganda after more than 40 years of missionary work as an educator.
