By some coincidence, I happen to be in Hollywood during Chris Cornell's funeral, and the day after his funeral, it was open to the public. So obviously, I went to visit and pay my respects. I bought some flowers. I get there and there's flowers all over Do. We haven't seen so many flowers in front of ah gravestone before and a giant card the fans were filling out. There was a group of us just looking at the headstone, soaking everything in, and someone pulled out his phone and just started playing this song, and it was really heavy. Man, this is Say hello to heaven on K Bear 101 K Bear won a one on March 8th, 2008. I got to see this band for the first and last time. Unfortunately, it was the second show I ever went Thio and my mom was friends with the promoter. So I got to meet the band seriously changed my life forever. And look where I'm at now, man, is Lincoln Park on K Bear 101 I actually left work late yesterday because I was staying here just watching interviews and video clips of Dave grow like him at Lenny's funeral, giving that amazing speech. And, man, there's something about him. I just feel like if I saw him on the street, I could just go up and hug him, and it would be okay. You know, like, he's just such a down to earth guy. At least he looks like it. I don't know. Watch. I'm gonna try and hug him, and then I'll get tackled by his security guard because I'm stupid. This is the proof. Fighters on K Bear 101 Utah Rock station K bear. Wanna one? This is John the metal Mailman. I was helping out with this country event, and I ran into this artist backstage. I met her name is Ingrid and dress, and she was running this Metallica shirt. So we started talking, and she told me that Lars Ulrich taught her how to play the double bass. You know, not literally, but she was listening to Metallica, saw how he did it and learn through him. And I know Richard Christie, the legendary drummer that was on Iced Earth on death. And now he's on the Howard Stern show. He learned how to play the double bass drums because of this song, This music video. I know we make fun of Lars a lot because he's not the most technical drummer, But the dude is legitimately like a teacher, man. We gotta put respect on his name for that. This is one by Metallica on K Bear 101 Every time I hear this next song, I vividly remember being in the eighth grade and going on a road trip with my family. We're going to California and we were in the dry Nevada desserts and I was missing my little crush that I had And I just remember thinking Take me back where the grass is green and the girls are pretty And I listen to this on Repeat for hours It's guns and roses on K Bear 101
