side by side. We speak in separate time zones. You in Australia, May Japan. We're in the same room but still separated by a cloud of pixels Billions of free floating information particles We cycle in and out between us like air. We're twin Pupi forming in the blue incandescents. We've grown attached to the same source we digest like data rich blood. The evening goes dim yet we batter on into the night. The darkness has outer edges and we cling to them like insects, Lourdes and the luminescent lives of imaginary people. Until finally we grow weary of the glass separating us from them. We drift off to bed and lie side by side under the buzz of artificial air. The glow of devices gone. We are drawn in by the heat of each other's bodies cause we fall to sleep. We twitch like a like boat, popping the thermal shock of light to dark, Then light again too much for our warn filaments. We disconnect and roll away h off into our own darkness
