The Montana state Legislature, in conjunction with input from the board of Psychologists and other relevant parties, has worked to ensure the safety of Montanans through the code, statues and rules highlighted here. As a licensed psychologist in Montana, it is your responsibility to be familiar with and uphold thes regulations to the best extent possible. It is also upon you to know where to find this information in the case that you should require of her reference. This course will highlight the major components of the law relevant to practicing psychologists and will focus specifically on aspects unique to the practice of psychology. In the state of Montana, You are entering into a group of colleagues who may serve as mentors or consultants as you navigate the practice of psychology in our state, while in this course you will demonstrate comprehension and familiarity with state specific guidelines. The practice of psychology is a complicated one, and you are encouraged to seek ongoing consultation and support throughout your career from our community. You will be expected to demonstrate comprehension and knowledge of each section prior to moving to the next upon completion, you will be directed to an online document linking the relevant sections of Montana law for further reading.
