Chapter one infiltrator. That was an excellent speech, Mr President, Agent Sanders said as he opened the door and check the hallways. President Douglas Shades champ smiled at his favorite Secret Service agent. I know it. Waas, wasn't it? Excellent speech. No one does speeches. Better believe me. I dio, sir. Right this way. Agent Sanders called on his radio through the security team. Goldie Locks is and transit to the limo. Over. Copy that, Papa Bear. The call came back. Limo is ready for Goldilocks. Proceed back to the house. Important is just right. Just right meant that the coast was clear of any danger. And that the presidential, um who could proceed safely back to the White House? When they arrived at the Oval Office, President Champ dismissed his entire staff for the night. That is everyone except for Agent Sanders. I'll be right outside if you need me, sir. He said as he moved to the door to champs legendary office. Why don't you call me champ? You know me better than anyone, Sanders. You're the only person I really trust. You know? I'm honored, Mr President, but it's a protocol, sir. I'm instructed by Champ responded in a commanding Joan. Instructed By whom? I'm the president. I instruct the people who instruct you. Okay, please. No more of this sort of business. From now on, you call me champ. Agent Sanders smiled, but just barely. Secret Service agents aren't allowed to smile. But Champ was the boss, the president of the United States. And he wanted to Agent Sanders to be on a first name basis with him. Very well s ah, Champ. Champ smiled back with a satisfied dare. He was used to throwing his weight around and always got what he wanted. He was the winner in chief. Why don't you sit down with me for a while? I'm going to unwind, have been and play my game. Agent Sanders shook his head. I can't do that, Jim. I have a sworn duty to keep my eyes open and keep you safe and secure. Come on, Sanders. Your shift is almost over. Sit and play some battle blocks with me. Agent Sanders smiled and said I really appreciate the invite, sir. I'm sorry, champ. How about a rain check? I'm super exhausted. You've had a busy day and I want to get some sleep and be fresh for duty tomorrow. Okay, Sanders, have it your way. I'll see you tomorrow. Take care, the president said. Is he plopped down on his sofa and logged into the game? His staff had no idea he was addicted to battle blocks. Every time he had a few minutes of privacy, Champ would sneak away and log into the game. And who could blame him? Battle blocks have gone viral since its young designer launched it only a few months earlier. It was the most popular online gaming platform on the planet. Agent Sanders ended his shift and went back to his apartment. When he got home, he removed his great suit and threw it on his bed. He removed his credentials and laid them on the table next to his gun. Then he sat at his computer and launched a special software he had secretly could. The screen flashed in. Moments later, he was watching a live feed of the president playing his game in the Oval Office. The feed came from the tiny spike camera he had hidden when nobody was looking. It was in the brass eagle to top the flag next to Champs Desk as he secretly spite on the unwitting president. Agent Sanders pulled his face off. Don't freak out. It just was a rubber mask he had molded to look exactly like the face of the rial Agent Sanders, who was tied up and gagged in the bedroom closet. Hacker Jack opened the closet door in said to the captive. Well, Agent Sanders looks like round a first name basis with the champ. The ballad agents glared at him and tried to break his bonds, but he didn't have the strength. Easy there, Tiger Jack slyly murmured. I'll have what I want soon enough, and you could go back to guarding your precious champ. We got a big day tomorrow. You know, I'm taking the president to meet the designer of that video game. He's addicted. Thio, some nerdy little genius kid who's filthy rich Now Hacker Jack laughed to himself. I guess the champ is only interested in meeting people. If they're rich, well, I'll be rich soon enough, but I doubt, um, champ will ever see me again.
