If this is your first trivia night, asked the bar owner, where they want you to set up, set up your mixer as close to you is possible. Plug in the power cable and be sure the light turns on. Plug your microphone into the XLR Jack labeled Mike. Plug in your audio cable for playing music into the jack labeled auxiliary in the dials should be set to zero, and the FX style turned all the way down. Both the master volume and the volume for your mike should be turned down until you contest the sound Later. Take two of your quarter inch cables and plug them into the back of your mixer in slots A and be labeled speaker out. You'll want to speaker on each side of the room. Consider where the most traffic will be and either avoid running wires across that area or cover loose wires with a rug. Take the loose ends of your quarter inch cables and run them to the back of your speakers. Then plug them into the input jack. Try to get the speakers off the floor by setting them on chairs or, if provided the speaker stands, do a quick test to make sure everything is ready to go.
