Asian elephants are endangered. At the end of the 20th century, there were about 100,000 Asian elephants. Today, there are only about 30,000 Asian elephants. Asian elephants live in grasslands and forests. They need a large habitat for food. However, humans air clearing the land where these elephants are living. It is difficult for the elephants to find food. People are also hunting Asian elephants for their tusks. Hunting Asian elephants is illegal, but the hunters air killing these animals anyway. We need to protect the elephants habitat. We need to stop elephant hunting. We need to work together to save these beautiful animals.
