Meeting Renfield (an excerpt from Bram Stoker's Dracula)

Description

I recorded this preliminary script reading as a short character building exercise for my role as Renfield for Stratford's Attic Theatre production, Bram Stoker's Dracula.

Here, I read both psychiatrist, Dr. John Seward and lunatic asylum inmate, R.M. Renfield who is later diagnosed as a 'zoophagus maniac'. I have added stereo seperation, reverb and other atmospheric effects. This was done as a test to establish the character's general manner and intonation, although Renfield's voice was subsequently developed to sound distinctly more 'manic' in the live performance.
