Should I let clients know I have recorded from the iPhone app?

Informing Clients That You Did The Audition With Your iPhone

Yes. It is a good idea for you to tell the client that you have recorded the audition from your iPhone. You can create a separate proposal template, titled iPhone in which you inform the client that the audition was recorded from the app and include some information about your professional recording studio as well.

To get the best recording from your device we recommend attaching a compatible microphone.

Also ensure you are in a quiet area using your earphones/buds while doing your recording. This will help keep background noise down and prevent your audition from sounding distorted.
