Job Description

This is a political spot for upcoming county elections.

It might be characterized as a "negative" spot because the first half exposes huge pay raises the current office holders have approved for themselves and colleagues.

But the tone should be more somber than sarcastic, more like "in these economic times, how could anybody do this?".

The delivery should be conversational -- talking to taxpayers, letting them know what's happened.

In the second half of the spot, the tone of the voiceover changes to more optimism as we hear "our" candidates' plans to change things.

Remember Freeholder Jim Sauro (Sorrow)?

You should.

You’re still paying for the obscene pay raises he supported.

Over 800-thousand dollars in raises for Sheriff Barruzza (Buh-roo’-za), Surrogate Marchand (Mar-shahnd’) and four others.

3.1 million in salaries since 2002.

Sauro, Barruzza, Marchand and the Republicans.

We just can’t afford them.
