Job Description

Looking for a VO talent to read an English script with a Japanese accent. The original script was written in Kyoto, Japan and has been translated to English. We'd like to have a Japanese accent to maintain an authentic feel for the final piece.

Total Time: approx. 8 min.

Example Script

The Kanouha and Rimpa styles, both born in Kyoto, gave rise to countless masterpieces. These works employ such intricate techniques that until now, the creation of convincing reproductions has been far from easy. But copies bearing remarkable similarity to many of these masterpieces have been produced using techniques developed right here in Kyoto.
Kyoto's cutting-edge digital technology and its rich legacy of traditional arts have been united to realize a dream that was long considered impossible.

High-definition digital techniques developed in Kyoto are used to perfectly capture the originals without the blurring and distortion typical of the copying process with lower-resolution photography. Color matching is carried out on the prints made from this digital data under the watchful eye of artisans from Kyoto's Nishijin district, an area famed for its traditional crafts. In this way, differences in color between the originals and the copies that might otherwise occur during the printing process can be avoided.
