Job Description

This is a quick turnaround 30-sec ad with a pretty straightforward premise. It opens with some rather grim imagery - America is going on the wrong track, with so much government spending and so much national debt. In the middle of the script, your voice declares: "It DOESN'T have to be this way." This is a key line to draw a contrast between what America is and what America can be.

The script then transitions to a much more positive, upbeat tone. America can be going in the right direction - and this candidate can get us there. Don't go overboard and lose all objectivity; just be hopeful, optimistic and proud. The closing line "New ideas..." should have a sense of finality in your voice, a strong statement that can offer a declarative end to the ad. The final line "... responsible for the content" is just a throwaway line that should be read just a bit more quickly; it's a quick legal disclaimer and should sound and feel like a completely different read, not connected to this script.

The spot is being edited today and tomorrow, so due to the tight production deadline, we love it when applicants post a custom demo so we can hear what the script would sound like!
