Job Description

We are creating a short animated video for an organization called the Yukon Salmon Sub-Committee that will follow the annual salmon run as a frame to talk about conservation on the river and cross-border salmon management issues.

The audience is fishermen, conservationists, schoolchildren, politicians, First Nations, etc. The sub-committee will be pushing this video online and show it at their many events and meetings. It was written to appeal to a grade 5 level, but to contain enough information and context to appeal to an adult.

We would like the voice to be wise and worldly. You are speaking for the salmon and the river itself. Smart and approachable. A storyteller. There's a lot to say, so we'd like the phrasing to be quick and succinct (but not rushed). We've split the pieces to say in different lines - please pause in between.

If you go by the word document, you'll see a comment over the final call to action. Please read the copy in the comment.

We also have a storyboard/animatic to share with you in case that will help the pacing.
