Job Description

Hello all,

I am putting out a casting call, for a voice for a Book trailer. The voice is that of a 20 year old wizard, whose voice will be speaking, under some animation of scenes from the book. The script is about :52sec long, and I have a fixed budget of $250 for this project. This video is not for broadcast, it's just being used as a promotional video on my client's YouTube channel. This job is a bit more like character acting than the traditional voiceover, so a youthful casual guy-next-door voice would work well for this. I have included some delivery and description notes in the script.

The way I work, is after I select the voiceover that best fits this project, I award the project, and usually animate to the demo read. Often, if the demo is of high-quality, I am able to use that and just record a pick up line here or there. I would say, that half of my jobs I am able to use the demo read as the final. If I'm not able to use the demo read, I usually just have people send me A few takes, and I edit everything together on my side.

A bit about the book: this is a book for the young adult market. ages 8-12 years old It’s set in the wizarding magical world, the first series of books focused on him when he was younger, and this book he has aged to the ripe age of 20 years old. (think a 20 year old Harry Potter (not British though))

Thanks,
Leonard
