Job Description

Please read in its entirety. We need exciting and catchy voices with baseball in their heart. This will be a weekly show, with the average script about three times the length of this one.

We will offer monthly payments.

Thank you

Here is a sample script.

The crack of the bat….

The roar of the crowd…..

This is a game of integrity…..a game of strength…..a game of determination…..

The inventor……..

Abner Doubleday…….

The date………...1834……

Baseball began with dirt pathways and naval cadet’s looking for time to pass. It has now grown into America’s most beloved pastime.

The 1900’s began amidst a swarm of uprising in the baseball community. The National league was threatening to break away from the traditional 12 team structure that crippled the game through the depression era of the 1890’s.

The new structure was an eight team league built to last……and last it did….for the next 60 years.

The early 1900’s saw baseball implement the four-strike rule and a late adoption of the now prominent cork centered baseball. Until the cork centered ball was adopted in 1912, the Brooklyn Orioles scored over 800 runs, the most by any NL team to date.

The year 1900 saw league amateur Honus Wagner lead Pittsburgh to Second place in the NL.

We also saw one of the worst trades in baseball history…..when Cincinnati traded Christy Matthewson. In 1936, he became one of the first five players admitted to the Baseball Hall of Fame, along with Babe Ruth, Walter Johnson, Ty Cobb and Honus Wagner.

And now The “What I Want Weekly Baseball Update”……

Today we're talking about the hottest prospects baseball’s got to offer this year.

The Top 10 prospects……listen up….cause their coming quick……….

Get out your pencil pad…and start taking notes…..

Cause the doctor is about to give you his recipe for baseball-itis…..

Let’s get down to it…………..

Starting out the lineup coming in at number 10

Coming’ out of Mil-wau-kee.. The 1st baseman……Mr. Prince Fielder, Packing a powerful punch…Be on the lookout for his PowerAde!

Next at number 9….. we got the new find,…. the one I call “The Slick Sledge”...but to all his fans, he is known as Lastings Milledge, Outfielder and Speed Demon.
