Job Description

Looking for a magical, unique male voice to record the Festival of Books television commercial for the Los Angeles Times. The tone is fairy tale-like and whimsical, but not too childlike. Inspiration could be the storyteller voice from the recent Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie.

We can produce the recording here at the LA Times building in downtown L.A. or you can record yourself at home if you have the equipment. This job is for one 30 second spot that will run on KCBS/KCAL for approximately 4 weeks, beginning near the end of March. Ideally I'd like to hear your sample read of the attached script, but if you don't have the means to do that a demo reel will be fine.

The budget of $500 - $1000 is for a total buyout, all rights to the recording will be maintained by the LA Times. We have a very tight deadline on this project and the recording needs to be finished by the end of this week, Friday the 17th.
Good luck and thank you!
