Job Description

We are looking for approximately six-to-eight minutes of narration for a documentary.

This documentary is based on several historical boats with ties to Lake Tahoe that were shown at last year’s Concours D’ Elegance. The voice over talent is needed to narrate the storyline transitions between the show and the history behind the boats.

We are looking for a female with a mature voice, this will be used to offset the number of male voices already in the program. The narration is a mix of news, history and anecdotal tales.

We are in need of the voice-over recorded and delivered before June 4th.

A summary of the documentary :
Legends of the Lake looks at the appreciation, beauty, and historical connections that lie beneath the surface of the mahogany rich wonders of classic wooden boats. Set at the Concours d’Elegance in beautiful Lake Tahoe, this 30-minute high-definition, documentary addresses the passion wooden boat owners have for their craft, familial connections, legendary speed kings, hydroplane racers and a history that tie generations together.

Including:

Teaser Beats the Fastest Train -
Story of the wooden race boat Teaser and her legendary race against the fastest train in the world at the time, the Twentieth Century Limited.

Mercury (nee Cigarette IV) vs. Hornet II -
The Hornet II was a regular wooden runabout at one-point, but its owner Henry Kaiser, was not happy about losing a race to an aluminum racer (Mercury). Kaiser sent Hornet II to be remodeled in style by Howard Hughes, to reflect the famous Hughes racer.

And more…
