Welcome to Module 1 in this course on Managing Challenging Behaviour.

This series of modules will challenge you to improve your understanding of what is commonly called ‘challenging behaviour’.

You will be asked to consider why behaviour is labeled as ‘challenging’, and to identify ‘who’ the behaviour is challenging to...

You will also be challenged to reflect upon the effect of this behaviour upon the individual, their family and support staff.

This course places the individual and their rights at the centre of all supports and focuses on the development of supports that will ultimately improve the quality of life for the individual.
