Job Description

We need a voice over for a short online educational piece for graduate level students.

The script is 227 words. Attached is the video with a scratch VO track.

The script is as follows:

"The design of learning environments
brings together major topics you have discussed in this and other courses,
and includes four broad perspectives:

Community-centered environments

Learner-centered environments

Knowledge centered environments,

Assessment centered environments.

These environments need to be thought of as a system of interconnected components that mutually support one another.

"Community centered" encompasses the classroom and school as well as the
broader community including homes, community centers, after-school programs, and businesses.

As you build your classroom norms to generate a safe learning environment, students need to see mathematical and science concepts connected to
their lives
beyond the walls of the classroom and school.

Urban communities provide a rich resource to apply the big ideas of mathematics and science.

Learner centered environments pay close attention the knowledge,
skills, attitudes,
and beliefs that students bring to the classroom.
Math and science teaching practices that reflect this focus provide meaning for students and assist students in constructing the
big ideas of mathematics and science.

Knowledge-centered environments intersect with
learning-centered environments
when instruction starts with
what students
already know,
and their ways of explaining processes.

Instruction strategies can then be designed to in a gradual but structured manner so the students can acquire the mathematical and scientific concepts.

Assessment centered environments provide opportunities for feedback and revision.

Both formative and summative assessments help guide the teacher to improve instructional practices."
