Hi! My name is Matthew Adams and I am a documentary film maker and motion graphics designer living in Minneapolis. This past summer I spent my weekends and free time following a group of women around Minnesota and Wisconsin who race snowmobiles in the International Watercross circuit. The unique thing about this sport is that they are racing snowmobiles on water during the summer! The main plot point of the film isn't about the racing itself, but the stories about the women who are racing and how they have overcome some kind of hardship in their lives. Some of these woman were bullied growing up because they were either tom boys or thought to be too "butch" for a girl. Many of them have found that racing has helped them out in personal ways which helped the overcome their struggles in life. I am almost ready to wrap this short film and am in post production right now. I am seeking a voiceover talent that is familiar with HBO's Hard Knocks or ESPN's 30 for 30 shorts. The voiceover work is basically good storytelling. Ultimately having a woman's voice from the midwest would be the best fit for the content, but if a male voice stands out that would work as well. The script will be changing as editing progresses, so 2-3 rounds of re-takes may be required. Also, I have been getting some great auditions, but I should have emphasized that the pace to the voiceover will be laid back and fairly slow.
