Job Description

This would be a play on the Mac vs. PC ad "Trust Me," which can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qpMN-4byxyc

This VO would be for the female in the script below. She should sound in her mid-40's, speaking English with an Argentine accent.

The VO should sound as back and forth between the woman and her male counterpart, similar to the Apple ads.

The script is as follows:

Uncle Sam: Hi, I’m Uncle Sam

Cristina: And I’m the president of Argentina

Cristina: Did you hear the good news? We’re really excited about a new offer to pay back our debt to American taxpayers and creditors. And this promise won’t have any of the problems the other promises had.

Uncle Sam: I think I’ve heard that before…

Broken Promise 1:

Cristina: We’re having hard economic times and will only be able to repay our lenders 27 cents on the dollar.

Uncle Sam: (Innocently) Oh really? It looks like your bank account shows you can pay much, much more.

[Flash on the screen – “Over $45 Billion in Foreign Reserves”]

Broken Promise 2:

Cristina: Our Argentine Ambassador to the U.S. says the restructuring of our debt was an overwhelming success.

Uncle Sam: (Laughs) That’s funny, news reports say it was the worst restructuring in history.

Broken Promise 3:

Cristina: We have a master plan in place and I promise to attract more investment to Argentina.

Uncle Sam: Interesting, some of Argentina’s own economists show your government’s actions have caused a loss in $6B in investment per year.

Broken Promise 4:

Cristina: It’s too bad Americans have to pay for our debt, but I’m doing what’s right for the Argentine people.

Uncle Sam: (Confused) Oh, what’s best for the Argentine people is limiting your capital flow and instructing your government to take $26B of their hard-earned pensions for your own use?

Broken Promise 5:

Cristina: Argentina is doing everything we can to be a responsible member of the international community.

Uncle Sam: You’re refusing to pay lawful judgments and debts. In fact, you’re in defiance of more than 160 U.S. court judgments ordering you to pay your bills.

(Current day – back to first image.)

Cristina: This time it’ll be different, trust me.
