Job Description

I'm looking for a narrator for a 2 hour History Channel documentary on Mayan Eschatology that will air on Jan. 3rd ad infinitum. The script is not yet ready, but I'm interested in finding the right voice now. It should sound natural, but also capable of amping up suspense when called for. I'm specifically NOT looking for voices with accentuated bass. A deep voice is great but shouldn't sound forced at all.

Actually, here is the first paragraph in the script. If you would like to take a crack at it, it would probably be helpful: "For millennia, mankind has sought knowledge of the future amidst the patterns and motions of the stars. For the ancient Maya these celestial motions determine when to wage war, when to plant crops and where to build their monuments.  Now, something in the heavens is changing.  The end of the final Mayan age approaches.  What will happen to the world in the year 2012?   On an island in the Pacific a silent sentinel stands with answers. An ancient  Mayan monument, a key, lost a thousand years,…. Until now."
