Job Description

Our company develops computer based training for a CAD Software product called SolidWorks. It is essential for us that the tone of the narration sounds like you are sitting down with a friend explaining something to him, rather than a presenter who is presenting to an audience. The language should be informal and not perfect. The script can be used loosely in order to capture a natural sound as long as the content is unaffected, i.e. say "I'll click the button" rather than I will click the button" if it sounds more natural and gives the more comfortable informal tone.

Here's a sample script:

SolidWorks 2007 also allows you simulate Belts and chains. Let me switch to another part to show you what I mean… Here on this part we’ll add a belt that’ll connect these three pulleys

To do this, we’ll actually be adding a new type of Sketch Entity called Belt Chain. To create a Belt Chain, I can launch it from the Tools, Sketch Entities Drop Down menu…..or to add it to my Blocks toolbar, I can go to Tools…Customize, …and on the commands tab I’ll select the Blocks category…here I can drag the Belt Chain icon onto my toolbar.

Once it’s added, I’ll click on it to begin. The Belt/Chain Property manager will appear. The process of creating a Belt/Chain is simple. The first selection window is prompting me to select the pulley components. Once they’re selected, a preview of the belt will appear. I can use the arrows in the graphics area to change the side of the pulley where the belt will pass….or I can click on it in the selection window and click the “Flip Belt Side” button.
