Job Description

What I need done: Characters for a graphic novel/noir/love story animated short (estimated 20 mins, 10-15 mins of dialog total) A lead character voice (largest dialog part): JULIAN - Downbeat, but yet also has a little sense of humour and is generally friendly despite being borderline depressed. Fairly grounded and restrained, but hinting at an inner conflict or emotional problems underneath. Can be British or American, aged 20s-50s. A lead female (medium amount of dialog): SCOUT - is a young, beautiful woman. Despite the gloomy atmosphere in the city, she glows with a sense of optimism. Upbeat, and slightly playful in her conversation while still being friendly, a little classy and generally likable. Can be British or American, aged 20s-30s. Minor character (a few lines): SHELLY - Female in her 40s/50s- a drug addict/junkie. Minor character (a few lines): FRANCO - Male in his 50s, Franco is the owner of a Diner where Julian works. What I already have versus what the voice talent will provide: I have the final scripts, I just need the talent to produce recordings for the characters, which can be done at their own pace. My animation will be synced after I receive the voice recordings. Other requirements that the voice talent will need to know: How the budget is split for the parts: $450- Julian $260- Scout $100- Shelly $60- Franco I'm happy to have the same talent record for more than one character (eg. Julian and Franco) as long as the voice is a sufficiently different style. All the direction required is written into the script. I have attached separate script files for each character with parts highlighted for each. The talent will not have to meet up, just individually recorded parts is fine. Specific expertise that I'm seeking: The character qualities I am ideally looking for are outlined above. Timeframe for delivery: Absolute deadline is Mid March, ideally I'd like to have this complete as soon as possible though.

Note from It is recommended that you protect all your audition work by watermarking the submission or only recording a portion of the script provided by the client. This will render your audition file useless for anything other than reviewing your voice. Not sure what watermarking is? Please visit our FAQ section for more information.

Note from The final script may contain mild adult content.  If you are not comfortable with this please chose not to audition for this job.  Thank you.
