Job Description

Reagent Press/RP Audio is a member of the Audio Publisher's Association and we launched our first titles in 2005.

At this time, we are seeking new voice talent for a dramatic, multiple voicing read of a 20,000-word fiction book for children ages 3 to 8. In your reply, please include a detailed rate quote. The book in audio form would need to be edited and professionally polished by you prior to submitting to us. We require the audio to be recorded in high quality stereo (minimum 44.1 Khz 16-bit stereo AIFF). We believe the finished reading would run approximately 2 hours.

We will review every submission, one or more times, and choose what we feel is the best talent for the job.

Thank you,

Thomas Green

Reading Notes: Laura is a young girl in elementary school. She's smart and funny, and likes to read. She loves to have fun and sometimes gets into trouble. The reader should use different voices for Laura, Mom, Dad, and Brother.

Sample #1.

Hi, I'm Laura, and this is the house where I live. Do you like my house? My first day at school wasnt as great as Id hoped it'd be. In fact, it was awful.

Mom sees my long face and says, Why the long face? It's not every day you go to your first day of school.

I look at Mom and give her my best big girl face. Mom, I say, I'm stupid. Everyone else knows how to spell their name and how to write their name. I couldnt get past L.

Mom laughs and says, You'll learn. You'll see.

I say, I sure hope so.

At dinner, Dad says, Laura, Brock, how was school today?

Brother answers first. He says, Great, Dad. Harry has a new yellow coat and Willy has a new four-wheeler.

Dad says, That's great, I'm glad to hear it."

I say, "Who cares, stupid brother and his friends anyway."
