Job Description

(Note: Client requested an extension on this project)

The following script is narration for a fundraising video for the Redwood Empire Council of the Boy Scouts of America in California.

I need a proud and pleasant male voice. Take your time with the read but don't go slow.

The video starts with 7 individual scouts saying the scout oath one line per person with strong sentimental music. A title comes up and then it transitions to the first paragraph of the voice over with new more upbeat music to pick up the pace of the video. The different paragraphs of the narration will be sprinkled throughout the 7 minute video which will include interviews with leaders and boy scouts about how great boy scouts is and the need for money to make improvements to their Council.

For nearly a hundred years, the Boy Scouts of America has made a tradition of helping build the character of young people. While providing our youth with fun activities, theyve also created an opportunity to teach them about leadership, citizenship, physical fitness and how to make ethical decisions.

The Redwood Empire Council serves over 5000 members from the area that spans from Crescent City to Petaluma. The Council runs three camps: Camp Masonite-Navarro, Camp Riggs Johnston and Camp Noyo, famous for its Skunk Train, a 17-mile steam engine ride into the wilderness.

While the Redwood Empire Council has been successful at raising funds necessary to cover the operating costs of the camps, facility upgrades require an additional level of effort.

The Council is now looking to the community to help fund needed upgrades including a lake for aquatic programs at Camp Masonite-Navarro, a new Service Center for leadership training and sales of scout merchandise, and an expansion of the Scoutreach program to recruit new members from our under-served low income communities.

Because these camps host not only the Boy Scouts, but other community organizations, funds raised will affect upgrades that will continue to serve the community for decades to come.
