Job Description

What we need done:

We need a voiceover recorded for each of 350 distinct physical therapy videos. We have scripts prepared for each video, and each script is approximately 20-30 seconds in length. Here’s an example script:

“Lie on your back with your knees bent and your feet on the floor. Draw in your stomach by pulling your belly button toward your spine. Make sure to draw inward. Do not hold your breath or push your belly out. Hold the position for the time prescribed. Relax and repeat the exercise according to the reps and sets indicated by your therapist. If you experience any pain, stop immediately and consult your therapist.”
We are a “startup” company, so costs are an important consideration for us.

What we already have versus what the voice talent will provide:
The videos have already been shot, and the voiceover will not need to be synched to the video. We will append the voiceover to the video during the video editing process.

Other requirements that the voice talent will need to know:
This is for a software application which will allow physical therapy patients to view exercise routines; our objective is to help patients to understand and properly perform their exercises. The voice needs to be clear, slow to moderately paced, and accent neutral. Given our budget concerns, we do not expect the voice talent to provide multiple recordings of each exercise, or to have a lot of back and forth. Assuming the script is well read, we're going to be easygoing and not push for the perfect read.

Timeframe for delivery:
Ideally, we’d like to complete this project by mid-May, but we have some flexibility.

Note from Voices.com: It is recommended that you protect all your audition work by watermarking the submission or only recording a portion of the script provided by the client. This will render your audition file useless for anything other than reviewing your voice. Not sure what watermarking is? Please visit our FAQ section for more information.
