Job Description

We are seeking a male or female narrator for the attached script. The project is a brief, highly stylized sales promotion video for a luxury loft complex that was developed from a Civil War era cotton mill overlooking a picturesque river that flows through the cultural, entertainment and business area of a city. The price range on these luxury lofts is from around $150,000 for a one bedroom to $600,000 for a three-bedroom.

We would specifically like to hear the following types of voices:

Male - Mid-20's to mid-30's, casual, somewhat off-hand, maybe a bit edgy without sounding disinterested. We do not wish to hear overly-dramatic, gravely, bass voices for this project. In other words, no movie trailer approach on this.

Female - Mid-20's to 50-ish, casually sophisticated and smokey, think a younger Lauren Becall. We would be particularly interested in hearing female voice with French or Italian accents.

The narrative is about two and a half minutes in length. There is no pacing requirement. We can cut to your pace, so take the time you need to romance the copy.

Please slate your read with your name. Thanks.

After receiving auditions, we will allow our clients to review the choices. Final selection will likely be made by Friday, April 9th, perhaps earlier dependent on our client.

Final files will need to be WAV, AIFF or high resolution MP3. We prefer 16 or 24 bit, 48 KHz WAV files.

Spelling Note: The project is named Eagle & Phenix Luxury Lofts. Phenix is the intentional spelling that was used for the word phoenix in an era when Americans were dropping many of the "O" and "E" letters from words like encyclopaedia and orthopaedic.

Note from Voices.com: It is recommended that you protect all your audition work by watermarking the submission or only recording a portion of the script provided by the client. This will render your audition file useless for anything other than reviewing your voice. Not sure what watermarking is? Please visit our FAQ section for more information.
