Whether we find ourselves in times of economic prosperity or difficulty, the Workforce Investment Council plays an important role in assisting businesses, job seekers, and youth in our community. We connect local businesses with talented workers. We also offer their current employees the training they need to be successful.

Through Employer Workforce Training Funds, money is available to local employers to train existing workers.
If your business wants to hire someone who lacks specific occupational training, we can pay up to 50% of that person’s wages while they learn the skills they need.
If your business must resort to layoffs, our Rapid Response team can help.

The Workforce Investment Council supports people who are out of work or who want to change careers. Through Clackamas Community College, we pay for job seekers and career changers to access the training they need to be successful.

We focus on technical and career training in high demand occupations.

Through WorkSource Clackamas, job seekers get the resources they need.

We work directly with local businesses to match job seekers with open positions in our community.

We fund youth services to help prepare our future workforce, partnering with the Clackamas Education Service District.

Throughout the school year, students tour local businesses to learn more about careers in a variety of fields.

Veterans who find themselves in need of training and career development can find the resources they need.
