Job Description

What I need done:

I need a voice over recorded for my fan-made video game for the upcoming release of the Blizzard Entertainment proprietary property, StarCraft 2. This fan-made game is a not-for profit free community game series to be played by owners of the StarCraft 2 video game.

What I already have versus what the voice talent will provide:

I only need dry, noise/hiss free recordings (without radio bass fx) .mp3 format, 44,100 Khz, 16-bit mono

Other requirements that the voice talent will need to know:

This job is for a series of 'bit' characters with anywhere from '1' line to '10' lines each. The characters will have varying accents depending on the talent's capability. (For example, there may be 2 or 3 characters with a southern drawl where the talent needs to present different dialects (such as one sounding red neck while another has only a mild accent, etc.)

This audition is for 3 sample lines with 3 different accents. The audition is to determine how well the talent can 'act' the lines in addition to the accents themselves.

(SOUTHERN DRAWL - Soldier on the battlefield - Solid Red Neck)

Oh yeah, you see that Billy Bob? I just put one through that guy’s corn hole!

(SOUTHERN DRAWL - Variant, light accent - Iara is pronounced (I-are-ah))

Somewhere near Iara Park sir. We’re settin up roadblocks in and out.

(AUSTRALIAN - Soldier on battlefield, yelling over gunfire)

They’re in cover! Flank’em!

Upon award, talent is asked to submit final dry recordings (hiss free) in the following format:

44,100 Khz
16-bit Mono

Note from Voices.com: It is recommended that you protect all your audition work by watermarking the submission or only recording a portion of the script provided by the client. This will render your audition file useless for anything other than reviewing your voice. Not sure what watermarking is? Please visit our FAQ section for more information.
