Job Description

This is an interactive simulation that uses video game technology to teach treatment concepts to medical students.

Since this work is for a proprietary software application that is not publicly available, an NDA must be signed before work can commence.

Bill is a 75-year-old retired mattress salesman. He’s just come to the ER reporting abdominal pain and black diarrhea. He’s concerned about his condition, but can still crack a joke now and then.

The attached script includes some general directorial comments ([bracketed text]). In each of the sample dialogues, Bill's lines have been highlighted for easy reference.

We need the script recorded in high/CD-quality WAV format (44100 Hz, 16-bit mono) with two takes on each line. We do not require the actor to export lines individually, so the final audio may be delivered as single WAV file that will be cut up and processed here at Syandus.

Final recorded lines are subject to medical-legal team review, so some pickups are usually required after the original takes are submitted.

Note from Voices.com: This job posting has been reviewed and approved by Voices.com staff. Voices.com recommends that you record a portion of the client’s script to audition for this project. Please refrain from slating your audition unless specifically asked to do so by the client. Please title the audition file with your name (e.g. JohnSmith.mp3) to assist the client in selecting an appropriate candidate.
