Job Description

I am looking for a male (30-50) working class American voice to read scripts for non-profit PhD research experiment, preferably East coast (Boston, Jersey etc)

While voices should clearly reveal a working class accent, the readings should be intelligible to an average standard American speaker.

As I am a PhD student, I am requesting voices who are available to make some allowance for my budget. I am willing to pay $50US per script (the script is 3 small passages - around 1/2 page).

The job is small and one take is usually satisfactory.

Payment is reliable and immediate.

Instructions Follow:

(1) No need to read headings or number introductions
(2) Please leave 2 sec pauses before and after each passage
(3) Please speak with a moderate, natural sounding pace
(4) Please record passages onto three separate mp3 tracks.

Recording Passages

Good morning, everybody. Beautiful Monday morning, isn't it? Welcome to
today's information session. To start, some important announcements: there's free tea and coffee upstairs, and toilets are on level one. Today's meeting will go from 9 to 5. After today's session, everybody's welcome to join us for light refreshments. Finally, there's no smoking in
any part of the building. If you want to smoke, you need to go outside. All right, let's get started...

NO 2

Last Saturday, I went to a Japanese restaurant around 8:00. It was my friend's birthday, and we tried Japanese food. It was my first time; I'd
never tried raw fish before. Even though, I had a good time, I had to leave early. My father has been in hospital. He's okay now though...

NO 3
I usually watch TV before I go to bed. Last night, there was a program on famous tourist attractions in Japan, like Disneyland and Kiyomizu temple.
My friend visited Nara and Kyoto last year, during cherry blossom season; he went to many places and ate many different kinds of food. The only problem was - when he was coming back home, the airline lost his bags!
